We are a charitable Home for the intellectually-disabled. We shelter, protect and care for those entrusted to us. We are committed to improving and providing a level of care and service that endears the universal Human Values for the less fortunate. We initiate and participate in community-based projects to meet the needs of the community.

SUNLOVE TIMELINEOur Milestones

1986

Humble Beginnings

In 1986, founding member, Mr. Wee Lin, converted an unused chicken farm to a make shift Home to house 20 psychiatric patients.
1986

Initial Move

From that time onwards, the Home moved to Trafalgar Home at Lorong Buangkok, which was converted and refurbished to take in intellectually-infirmed patients.
1993

Charity Act

2000

New Building

In 2000, Sunlove was given a land to build a new Home with new facilities. 90% of the project was funded by the Ministry of Health.
2001

IPC Status

Registration No. HEF0070/G
2005

New Building

On 15th January 2005, our residents were relocated to the new building at 70 Buangkok View where operations commenced.
2013

New Era

The lease for Surya Home expired. Singapore Land Authority (SLA) reclaimed the land for other structural purposes. Residents of Surya Home were relocated temporarily to Sunlove@IMH and Silra.
2014

Upgrading Sunlove Home

The expansion and upgrading of Sunlove Home commenced.
2017

Completed Renovation Works

Upon completion of the expansion and renovation works, Sunlove Home now houses approximately 500 residents. Residents from Sunlove@IMH were relocated back to Sunlove Home on 1 October 2017.

Our Second Nursing Home

Surya Home commenced operations at 80 Buangkok View.
